These are the old test strips I did, as I was trying to figure out the kind of comic strip I wanted to do.
Good morning and welcome to the asylum. Pay no heed to the men in white coats, true believers, because they’re not here for you…I think. Look around and see the old site got a whole new look. None of that boring gray, and now we have nice calming, subtle gray. We even have blue and background graphics, so we are totally upscale now.
Now you may note that there’s only a handful of strips up. These were an experiment I did back in ‘o8 to see if I could do a comic strip and how it would look. Well, that’s as far as I went but I thought I’d put it up for your viewing, um, pleasure. Now being pretty disabled, I’m only able to do so much. So in 2008 I did a few strips. In 2010 I put them online and made up a site for them. I even made the site purdy, as we shouldn’t be saying in Nevada.
So when can you expect an update? When can you expect more comics from me? I’m thinking, at the rate I’m going now, probably in 2012 maybe. Yes maybe when the Avengers comes out. Maybe sooner. Who knows. Maybe I’ll surprise myself and start doing a weekly comic strip again. I suppose anything is possible. Now if you’ll excuse me I have a date with a padded cell and some gentlemen in white.
Oh, and if anyone from Marvel reads this, please don’t sue me. I’m just kidding.
Originally I wanted to do a comic strip, then a computer game, then a 3d comic strip, then short stories, then a novella. Finally I gave up. It was hopeless. I’m not an indecisive person, really, I just can never make up my mind. I can’t even choose what I want for lunch everyday. I’ll spend hours sitting and staring into space because I just couldn’t decide. Then it came to me. I had what you might call an apostrophe, or no that’s not it. Atrophy? No. Epiphany! That’s the word. Right, now what was I saying? Oh yes! I’d just combine them all together under a blog and that way if I want to do a comic strip, I can post it. The same goes for a short story, or just plain cool pics that I’ve done for my Legends from the Void universe. So that’s really the point of this blog. It is the dumping place of the sewage of my mind. Eww. Wait, that’s was a bad metaphor. How about, it is the birth place from the womb of my imagination? Oh, never mind. We’ll figure it out as we go along. At any rate, take this first image I did in Vue. It’s using Stonemason’s amazing Urban Future 3 set and a couple spaceships I bought from Daz 3d. I really must admit that I didn’t spend much time on it. I was more concerned with rendering a believable image in Vue. I think the lighting came off okay, but I’m still working on it. I just got Vue 8 and it handles Daz and Poser content much better than version 6. For now, I’ll be posting little things I do every day if possible.
